T2和T5签证

I am an advertising space: Advertising space for lease

T2 and T5 are the previous names for the Work Visa and Temporary Work Visa, respectively.

Which employers in the UK can act as sponsors for Work and Temporary Work Visas?

Note: If you resign from a job while holding a Work Visa in the UK, but the visa has not expired, there are certain requirements to be followed. In this situation, unless you have already secured a new job offer and the new employer is willing to help you reapply for a visa, you will need to leave the country within 1-2 months after resigning. However, due to the impact of the pandemic, you can contact the UK COVID-19 helpline or submit an application form requesting an extension of your stay if you need assistance.

What are the lists of organizations that have obtained government licenses to act as sponsors for Work and Temporary Work Visas?

There are many organizations that can act as sponsors, and this information is based on the latest update as of July 2020. It is unclear why the official list has not been updated yet. Currently, the names are still referred to as T2 and T5, but individual visa application websites provide information on the updated names that have replaced them. The overall application process remains largely unchanged.

Among them, there are 29,331 sponsors for Tier 2 Work Visas and 31,321 sponsors for Tier 5 Temporary Work Visas, making a total of 31,321 sponsors.

A reminder from your guide: The sponsors that provide Tier 5 Temporary Work Visas are mostly focused on Creative & Sporting, Sport, Religious Workers, Voluntary Workers, and Exchange categories. In other words, these sponsors primarily recruit individuals for jobs related to creativity, sports, religion, volunteering, and exchanges. The availability of positions for other general categories of work is very limited.

Please note that whether you are seeking a Tier 2 Long-Term Work Visa or a Tier 5 Temporary Work Visa in the UK, it is crucial to conduct research in advance and ensure that the prospective employer is qualified as a sponsor and listed on the mentioned list. Otherwise, even if you are accepted by the organization, you won't be able to work in the UK. However, if your employer is not a sponsor, there is an option to find a third-party organization to act as your sponsor. This process is more complicated and expensive, as it involves finding an enterprise that is willing to sponsor you, obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) from that organization, and then undergoing sponsorship approval by the third-party sponsor. Finally, following the established procedure, they can help you obtain a work visa.

It's important to note that there is a difference in the duration of Tier 5 and Tier 2 visas. Tier 2, or T2, allows you to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), also known as UK Permanent Residency, after working in the UK on a work visa for 5 years. However, a T5 visa cannot be used to apply for ILR. This means that if you spend 5 years in the UK, with one year being on a T5 visa, that year will not be counted towards the 5-year requirement. In other words, holding a T5 visa in the UK does not contribute to the 5-year period for applying for UK Permanent Residency.

On the other hand, Tier 5 visas have limitations. They are internship and volunteering visas, valid for a short-term stay of one or two years. Once the visa expires, you cannot extend it, and if you wish to switch to another visa category, you must leave the country and apply from outside the UK. This is different from Tier 2, as Tier 2 visas can be renewed and allow for in-country switching to other visa categories without the need to leave the UK. When the T5 visa expires and you want to switch to a Tier 2 or other visa, you must leave the UK, which means you have to apply for a new visa, and the Tier 2 visa application will be subject to annual quota restrictions.
