UK Census 2021

What is a census?
It is the collection of population information conducted once every 10 years in England and Wales, carried out by the Office for National Statistics of the United Kingdom.
Note: Scotland and Northern Ireland are also conducting their own censuses, but the links and specific information may vary. Students in Scotland and Northern Ireland are advised to directly access the corresponding regional links provided at the bottom of the article for further details.
When to start filling in the information?
Start filling in the information as soon as possible from March 21, 2021 onwards.Who needs to fill in the information?
Those who have been residing in the UK for less than 3 months are exempt from filling it out, while those who have resided for more than 3 months are required to do so. Providing false information or not filling it out is illegal and may result in a maximum fine of £1000.Do I need to fill it out if I am not in the UK on March 21 or after?
If you leave the UK for less than 12 months on March 21, you need to fill it out.How to fill it out?
Reminder: It must be filled out in English.

Fill out online.
First, you will receive a letter containing a code. The code consists of 16 characters, including numbers and letters. Then, using the provided link or the online link mentioned later, enter the code to proceed with the filling process.

Reminder: The code is assigned per household, and each person in the household will take approximately 10 minutes to fill out the census.
What if I haven't received a code?
You can obtain a new code by calling or applying online. Follow the provided link.

However, please note that once you apply for a new code, the old code becomes invalid and entering information using the old code will serve no purpose.

Paper-based questionnaire
First, you need to call and request the organization to mail you the paper questionnaire. Once you have filled it out, you can mail it back. This method is generally not recommended, but it can be chosen by those who prefer the tactile experience of paper or are unable to fill out the census online.
