忘带身份证¶
What should I do if I forget to bring my ID card when taking a domestic flight?
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) developed the "Temporary Air Travel Certificate" system in 2018, providing a nationwide and convenient online application channel for passengers.
Starting from September 15, 2019, the "Temporary Air Travel Certificate" system was officially implemented in 203 airports across the country.
Now, if a passenger forgets to bring their ID card, they can use WeChat to generate an electronic anti-counterfeiting QR code, which allows them to quickly handle baggage check-in and boarding.
Here are the steps:
Enter the "Temporary Air Travel Certificate" Mini Program
Search for "Temporary Air Travel Certificate" in WeChat: Open WeChat, click on the search box, enter "Temporary Air Travel Certificate," and enter the Mini Program to start the process.
Or
Enter WeChat City Services: Open WeChat, go to Me > Services > City Services > Public Transportation > Temporary Air Travel Certificate, and start the process.
Fill in the information and start the process
After entering the Mini Program, authorize login, then fill in personal information and proceed to the next step. Face recognition will be required to confirm identity information.
View the "Temporary Air Travel Certificate"
Click on the Temporary Air Travel Certificate at the bottom right corner of the Mini Program, enter the ID card number, undergo SMS verification, and then it can be used.
For those who don't know how to use WeChat, they can handle it at the airport.
There are two methods to obtain a Temporary Air Travel Certificate at the airport:
Use the convenient self-service machine for certificate application
Most airports have terminals for temporary ID card issuance. Passengers can quickly obtain the certificate by entering their ID card number and undergoing face recognition steps.
Go to the police service window in person
Passengers can also obtain the Temporary Air Travel Certificate through manual service by going to the police service window. However, it is important to note that to avoid missing the flight, passengers traveling on flights departing before 8 AM should apply one day in advance, while other passengers are recommended to apply at least 3 hours before the flight departs. There is no fee for applying for the "Temporary Air Travel Certificate."
