老外HR套路之一¶
One of the tactics used by foreign HR professionals
As the big boss of the HR department, foreign HR professionals manage a few direct subordinates. Normally, the foreign HR professional who has the closest relationship to the boss will take advantage of their position (never say anything negative about company leaders, secrets, or anything that shouldn't be shared because it will be instantly relayed to the boss, and your professional life will become turbulent). Generally, the foreign HR boss doesn't concern themselves with trivial matters. However, on occasion, they may take the lead in addressing minor issues for the sake of completing tasks or during special circumstances (such as when they have been criticized by their superiors or encountered unpleasant situations).
For example, one time the foreign HR boss suddenly called us over and asked us to fill out a form on the spot. The form contained some boring questions, including two items that required us to write our strengths and weaknesses at work. It was mandatory to write at least three weaknesses. So, being as foolish as a pig, I actually wrote down three weaknesses that I believed applied to myself, while others wrote down weaknesses that were common to all humans. Then the HR boss went through each form, giving comments on each one. But that wasn't satisfying enough for him since everyone had written content that couldn't provide him with a righteous and satisfying outlet for his emotions. Finally, he noticed my form, and in that moment, his eyes sparkled with a pure 24-karat gold light. He looked at me and started asking, 'Why did you write XXXXXX (the weakness I wrote)?' And then he proceeded to passionately berate me for a good half an hour. It wasn't the kind of berating that involved using foul language; true skill in berating someone doesn't require uttering a single profanity. He then went on to berate everyone else before taking a few sips of water and satisfiedly announced the end of the session.
