The GP will issue a prescription for the HPV vaccine to the nearest pharmacy. Each pharmacy may have different procedures. Some may provide you with all three doses of the vaccine to take home, while others may administer one dose at a time.
Note: If you receive all the vaccine doses, it is important to store them in the refrigerator immediately to prevent spoilage. The staff will also provide instructions. It is recommended to inquire whether you can store the vaccines at the pharmacy and collect them for each dose. Some pharmacies allow this, and you only need to write your name and date of birth on the vaccine box.
Make an appointment with the GP to receive the vaccine. Bring the first dose to the appointment. The GP will provide you with a card or printout indicating the dates for the second and third doses. If any special circumstances arise, inform the GP in advance, and they will help you reschedule the appointments for the second and third doses.
Shisun Miao Reminder: After receiving the vaccine, it is recommended to rest for half an hour at the location.
Shisun Miao Reminder: If you exceed the age for free vaccination, you can make a paid appointment. Prices may range from around £400 to £500. It is advisable to consult with pharmacies as prices may vary. You can go directly to the pharmacy for this.
