Presentation英文演讲

How to make a presentation with PowerPoint? How to deliver an English speech?

In the past, Ten Cats used Microsoft Office PowerPoint directly, which is a presentation software developed by Microsoft. In terms of aesthetic sense, Ten Cats' taste is really hard to describe. Therefore, when making presentations, even though Ten Cats has been abroad for a long time, the approach has always been to create minimalist PowerPoint slides. What is a minimalist PowerPoint? It means having a title, a few lines of text, a few images on a slide, and that's it. There are no fancy transitions, animations, and so on. Wow, I can really be lazy...

The image below shows the common Microsoft PowerPoint software that Ten Cats has been using for many years. :)

As shown in the image below, Ten Cats' year-round presentation PPTs are mostly designed in the following format. Apart from a few emphasized words, there really isn't much else. The three boxes below are meant for inserting images, and of course, the images should be relevant to the content as well. :)

As shown in the image below, when Ten Cats does presentations, whether it's a group presentation or an individual one, they usually stand in front. During regular assignments, they have to speak in front of all the classmates. During exams, they only need to present to a few teachers. After completing the presentation, the teachers will ask questions related to the content of the PowerPoint. In the image below, it's when Ten Cats personally does a presentation. Well, yes, you didn't read it wrong. Ten Cats is also a hidden artist among the people:)

In fact, PowerPoint presentations can be created directly using the free Microsoft PowerPoint software. However, there are limited built-in templates and not many impressive materials available. Many students hope to make their presentations look cool, futuristic, or have a high-tech feel.

This demand has led to the emergence of numerous PowerPoint software options. In some group assignments, Ten Cats later made more advanced presentations by downloading materials and borrowing templates from talented individuals. However, this process was time-consuming and required considerable effort. Compared to the valuable time spent studying abroad, Ten Cats believes that it's sufficient for a presentation to look decent; the most important aspect is the content, while a clean and tidy appearance is desirable

Of course, let me recommend a few websites for downloading PowerPoint templates

2、Officeplus

So, after searching for many software, registering for many accounts, paying for many memberships, and downloading many templates, I found that many platforms that provide PowerPoint templates have a lot of rules. It's not as simple as paying for membership and being able to use the templates freely. Even if you pay for additional templates, you can't use them casually, and it's rare to find a perfect match for the templates. This is... not quite suitable for Ten Cats... The point is, Ten Cats is a bit lazy and finds it troublesome. So, after looking around, I found a good PowerPoint generator that intelligently generates a complete set of customizable PowerPoint presentations. It's like that rainbow text generator you can find online nowadays. I heard it's an AI-powered PowerPoint generator. So, Ten Cats wants to give it a try :)

Since Ten Cats prefers to use very few words, such as key words for associations and some figures in charts, most of the images used are found online or taken by myself. The key is that when people first look at Ten Cats' stuff, they don't know what it's about in the cloud, so occasionally Ten Cats uses this PowerPoint creation software. It's important that the images, icons, and logos used are copyright-free.

How to give an English speech? After Ten Cats saw this, they thought it was great, The Pitch Canvas. It's really useful. It can be used not only for academic presentations but also for business presentations and more. I recommend everyone to learn it. You can download some learning videos for free or pay for courses at the following website: https://best3minutes.com/the-pitch-canvas/

In the video below, it's "How to give the perfect pitch - with TedX speech coach David Beckett - Young Creators Summit 2016."

Ten Cats reminds you that the speech script and PowerPoint go hand in hand. It's best to prepare the script first and then create the PowerPoint. Generally, the script is written in a framework similar to writing a short essay, but you need to grasp the key points, engage the audience, and control the timing, among other things.
