On the new registration website, the channels for registering IELTS, IELTS for UKVI (used for UK visas and immigration), and IELTS Life Skills (for certain visa categories) have been separated.
Furthermore, the registration channels for computer-delivered and paper-based tests are also distinct.
So, how can you check test availability on the official website?
Here's a special note: You only need to register and log in on the registration official website; there is no need to make any payment to check test availability! The specific steps are as follows:
First, register an account and log in.
After logging in, you will be automatically redirected to your personal homepage. Scroll down a bit, and you will see the test availability button indicated by the arrow in the image. Please note that your account balance will be 0 at this point, but you can still use this feature normally to conveniently check for suitable dates and locations before making any payment.
Click on "Test Availability," and you will be directed to the following page. Here, you can choose the appropriate test mode, location, and date that suits you. Finally, click on "Test Availability," and you're good to go!
Upon clicking the search button, the displayed page provides comprehensive information, including the test center name, exam type, written and speaking test format, and whether there are available slots. What's even more considerate is the addition of the "Next Test Day" button, which allows you to easily check the availability of other test dates.
Furthermore, once logged in, you will be able to see a progress bar on the webpage, which keeps you updated on your registration progress. You no longer have to worry about getting lost in the registration process.
